Te Matatini 2027 dates are confirmed! The festival will take place at Hopuhopu, Waikato - 22–27 February 2027 - co-hosted by Waikato-Tainui, Te Whare Haka o Tainui and Te Matatini.

Monday 22 Feb: Pōwhiri at Tūrangawaewae Marae to welcome performers and manuwhiri
Tues 23-Fri 26 Feb: Four days of preliminary competition
Sat 27 Feb: Te Matangirua Finals Day
Te Arataura o Waikato chair Tukoroirangi Morgan says Te Matatini 2027 will be a chance to showcase a distinctly Tainui Waka flavour to the world of kapa haka.
